Founded in 1947, Council on International Educational Exchange is a nonprofit, nongovernmental U.S. organization. We have an outstanding record of achievement when it comes to providing language teaching culture and a variety of languages including Modern Standard Arabic.
We are seeking experienced Arabic language instructors who enjoy working with motivated students at all levels for formal study.
Responsibilities:
- Teach small groups of American students, in addition to one-on-one tutoring
- Teach general language skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking
- Prepare lesson plans for all sessions and adjust them according to the student’s learning styles
- Attend meetings to discuss students’ progress
- Interact positively with students to promote a fun, friendly and creative learning environment
- Submit a weekly report to the language coordinator
Qualifications:
- Strong teaching experience in teaching Modern standard Arabic to foreigners
- Excellent command of the target language, including reading, writing, conversation, and cultural understanding
- Have basic communication skillsin English
- A strong ability to motivate students and communicate teaching content creatively and effectively
