Summary of Position

GOLDEN RESOURCES is seeking a Program Assistant for a four-year USAID-funded workforce development project in Morocco. The project may focus on strengthening the workforce and improving the employability of youth, enhancing their career potential for entering the labor market through vocational training services, business-led workforce development partnerships, and job placement.

Tasks

Supervised by the Technical Director, the Work Readiness Specialist will work closely with the program technical staff, both in the Rabat office and the pilot regions, to ensure successful development and implementation of work readiness offerings for use in Career Centers. The Work Readiness Specialist will be responsible to the Technical Director by fulfilling the following main responsibilities: 1) Act as principal interface with our partner EFE for work readiness offering development, piloting, roll out and subsequent refinements to curricula. 2) Act as focal point for work readiness programmatic technical deliverables; 3) Develop relations with third party providers of work readiness offerings. 4) Support programmatic reporting as required by COP and Technical Director.

The Work Readiness Specialist will support the COP and the Technical Director by fulfilling the following responsibilities:

The selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval.

Reporting

The Work Readiness Specialist will report directly to the USAID Career Center Technical Director, with strong connections with the COP.

Experience

The Work Readiness Specialist will be charged with implementing the work readiness component for USAID Career Center. S/he will engage with a diverse range of actors ranging from students to CEOs of multinational corporations. As such, the individual must be mature, a self‐starter, a problem solver, and well versed in the world of business as well as the education sector. The ideal candidate has exceptional communication skills with experience managing complex projects and demanding clients. The position requires, unless otherwise noted, an individual who possesses the following skills, traits, and experiences:
