Creative Associates International recrute Program Director

Position Location: Rabat, Morocco

Project Summary:

The Preventing Extremism in Morocco program is building the capacity of religious and community leaders to counter violent extremism in Casablanca, Salé, Beni Mellal, and Fes. Through this project, a select group of religious and community leaders will receive training in countering extremism and then lead self-designed follow-on activities that address issues of extremism within their own communities. Leaders will work with each other and the broader community of practice to share lessons learned and best practices. This is a pilot project with a heavy monitoring and evaluation component and emphasizes the important of learning and sharing best practices.

Project Duration:

The program is active and will end in April 2018.

Position Summary:

The Program Director is to be based in Rabat, Morocco and will be responsible for the in-country implementation and management of the project. The Program Director will be the senior in-country project representative and will have overall responsibility for guiding and coordinating program activities among a diverse group of local stakeholders and beneficiaries, government ministries and local officials, and US government personnel in Casablanca, Salé, Beni Mellal, and Fes. S/he will be responsible for monitoring small grant performance in these locations on a monthly basis. S/he will oversee the long-term staff and short-term experts in achieving project results, conducting activities, and monitoring impact. The Program Director ensures compliance with all terms of the project contract and all relevant donor rules and regulations.

Reporting & Supervision:

This position reports to the Project Director in the CIT Division.
